Having the dawn come up around you as you work is a thing of beauty.
I’m finding that my early mornings are becoming more and more productive as time goes on, because I know that the impetus I have from starting like this is too good to actually ignore. I’m yawning like crazy now but once I’m done here that will be four Blog Posts and an editing pass on the Novel complete, and that’s stupidly productive for what is now 6.45am. Of course I can’t do this every day, and inevitably it means the hours between lunch and teatime on a Monday get shot, but the benefits outweigh the disadvantages. As an added bonus today there are no kids in the house so I can go back to be shortly while husband goes cycling, have a massive lie-in and then turn up at my parents for lunch.
Frankly, it doesn’t get any better than this.
I’ve been mucking around a fair bit with images of late as well, and I think this week will see me getting a large wodge of content scheduled and simply organised without me even needing to be by a PC. This will allow the opportunity to spend some more time cleaning and clearing the house, exercising in various forms and looking at fiction, which desperately needs a bit of love right now. I also have the hosting issue to sort, but that’s effectively Tuesday’s problem when there are people to talk to who will answer my questions without treating me as an idiot. I hope.
In the end, I’m really glad I’ve taken the initiative and started dictating terms far more than I was ever confident to do before. It makes a world of difference.
